Finally after 3 mths of listening to pacific rim sound track, here you have it...
It been a interesting year for me as I get to experience, improve my skill and get to know some modeler better. It a boring hobby if you are doing it alone and I am glad I wasn't.
Overall, I didn't really get to accomplish what I set out to do and I don't feel good about it. Unfortunately, I guess I didn't have the time and experience to make it happen. Maybe I might come back and tackle this design in the future... hmmmm...
This year GBWC was pretty early compare to last year, I was hoping to start early with at least 4 months of preparation but the announcement was made with only 2 months left and I guess that left some inexperience modeler like me to feel constraint with the time limit.
This year was really very challenging for me compare to last year, there were many things going on with work and personal life that it seem stupid that I still want to continue with this competition but I am glad I had completed the kit and it time for me to get back to my CG stuff.
Finally, after a long period of time working on a few kits concurrently I manage to get both kits out in time.
Some introduction before we check out the images. The GB is organised by Toymaker and the gathering is at the usual spot HobbyArt@work this coming Sunday, 19th May at 2pm. So if you guys are interested to know more about the builds do drop by and check it out.
Doing some quick sculpt here, haven't been able to really focus and finish any of my sculpt. :( spend too much time on model kits. So going to dedicated some free time to finish this before I start on the next kit. Gonna make it happened.. woo.
The date was 31st March 2013, my first meet up with brothers from SGGS at Parc Vista condo.
Thanks to the organizer for making it happened, it wasn't easy but you guys have been a great host.
The time was very well spend meeting up and learning from one another.
We gather and display our UC kit and suddenly, strangers became friend automatically.
Lunch was great as we talk about ourself and gunpla which follow by some photo taking session and Photoshop Tutorial.
So right after my reservist I was in a dilemma whether or not to build a new kit to take part in GUNPLANATIC GroupBuild.
I initially wanted to use unicorn gundam age-2 to take part but thought it will be better that I build a new kit for this GB and keep the Unicorn for SGGS gathering.
Got so excited with sculpting that I tried to produce at least 1 model per week. Not sure how long can I sustain that kind of result yet but I am glad I learn so much over the pass 1 to 2 months.
Here are the progress of what I have been working on after working hours.
A video showing how I model my character in Zbrush. 2hrs work squeeze into a 10min video.
Spend 3 hrs the next day to achieve this.
Wanted to improve on the hair and called it a day but I ended up doing more stuff.
